Partner. Prepare. Proclaim.

Partnering with parents in the Christian education of their children.

Preparing students academically and spiritually for this life and for eternity.

Proclaiming the love of Jesus Christ to each other and to our community.

Does your child’s school make you feel like family?

As I’ve been giving tours recently, parents have commented how their child is “doing ok” at their current school…but they are looking for something more than just “ok.” They want a personal connection with their child’s teacher and school principal…a real partnership. They want individual attention and close friends for their child.

Many are feeling undervalued, undersupported, and like their child is being “lost in the shuffle,” but it doesn’t have to be this way.

Our teachers love the students as if they were their own children. Our students smile, laugh, and learn because they can “feel” the comfortable Christian environment. Our parents find teachers and staff who know them by name and are working with them both to capitalize on student’s unique strengths and to address learning/behavioral difficulties. Our small school is like a BIG FAMILY…and we can help you too!

Preschool

Our preschool blends foundational academics with independent and cooperative play. We offer a parent-child class for 2 year-olds and half-day preschool programs for 3 & 4 year-olds.

Elementary

Students develop lifelong habits and learn the essential skills for future school success. School is in session Monday through Friday from 8:00-3:00, with before and after school care available.

Middle School

Technology is regularly integrated into learning, and academic rigor is increased to help students realize their God-given potential. In preparation for high school, our classes are departmentalized.

St. Paul’s is more than a school.

We are a family.

We know that there are many options for your child’s schooling, but we believe that there are things that set our school apart from the rest. Our Christian education is not merely a teaching of “the three R’s” plus religion.  God’s Word permeates, influences, and gives true meaning to all subject areas that are taught.

Our teachers love being in the classroom, and it shows. Dynamic lessons and meaningful assignments are the norm as you walk through our hallways. We intentionally build school community through weekly mixed-age-group buddy activities. Our parents and staff plan fun social events that foster friendships for both children and adults. We believe that you’ll feel the difference as soon as you walk through our doors.

A Tradition of Excellence

Our school has been serving the Livonia community for nearly 75 years. We are a school that self-evaluates, sets annual goals, and asks education professionals from the outside to hold us accountable for meeting or exceeding the standards of excellent schools.

Our elementary school has been recognized as a school of excellence by:

  • WELSSA - Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod School Accreditation

  • NCPSA - National Council for Private School Accreditation

Our preschool is fully licensed by LARA (State of Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs) and receives unannounced visits each year to validate that we are compliant with all early childhood requirements.

Test Scores to Prove Our Success

We choose to use Measures of Academic Progress testing (MAP Growth) in 1st-8th grade to supplement our classroom assessments.

In fall 2021, our average grade-level scores were 80 for reading. This means our students tested better than 80% of the same grade-level classrooms nationwide, according to NWEA’s normative data. Our scores were 93 for language usage, 81 for math, and 89 for science. Multiple testing events per year allow us to measure the academic growth that takes place and use the data to inform our instruction for each individual student.

We asked our parents,

“What are St. Paul’s best attributes as a school?”

“Small family-like Christian education with a lot of personal touches from the staff!”

“The sense of community, quality Christian education, and the opportunity for parents to get involved in the school.”

“Our principal and teachers treat our family as part of a community and I never feel like my children are just a number.”
